The project inception was held, which is supported by the technical assistance of the Asian Development Bank

The inception of the project "TA10201-MON: Strengthening public administration, digitalization and decentralization of public services for property rights and legal entities registration in Soums", which is being implemented with the support of the Asian Development Bank's technical assistance, was held today, April 4, 2024, at the State Registration Organization.

The officials led by Ms. Nyamgerel.L, Head of Policy Implementation Coordination department of the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs, and Edward Faber, Senior Economist of Mongolia Resident Mission of the Asian Development Bank were attended the inception by invitation and all employees of the registration organization participated in person and virtually.

Head of Policy Implementation Coordination department of the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs Nyamgerel.L, opened the project inception and said, "The Asian Development Bank has been implementing number of projects in Mongolia. Among the state organizations that implemented ADB projects, the State Registration Organization is an experienced team that implements projects successfully that are valuable not only in the jurisdiction sector but also at the level of the government," she said, and wished success in the implementation of the project.

Edward Faber, Senior Economist of Mongolia Resident Mission of the ADB: He said "The Asian Development Bank started the cooperation with Mongolia since 1991. This project is characterized by the decentralization of public services, including the delivery of public services in Soums. As a result of the project, it is estimated that more than 500,000 citizens and 100,000 enterprises of the 200 Soums will benefit. And at least 50% of the beneficiaries will be women," and thanked the guests and participants who came to the project inception.

Within the scope of the project, it is planned to implement the works including decentralize of public services by introducing state registration services of property rights and legal entities in Soums, provide all services of state registration from primary units, improve system quality, ensure confidentiality, security, and normal reliability of digital system, update equipment and software, to create environment for providing citizens and legal entities with access to public services digitally regardless of residency, exchange basic information data with other state organizations and strengthen the capacity of employees and introducing good international experiences.
