As part of supporting the implementation of the “Smart Government-2” project, representatives from the World Bank held a meeting with the General Authority for State Registration (GASR) today.
From February 9 to 11, 2026, the World Bank is conducting a working visit to support the implementation of the “Smart Government-2” project, which is being carried out by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Communications. As part of this visit, a meeting was held with the officials of the General Authority for State Registration (GASR) to discuss the project’s implementation, results, and prospects for future collaboration.

The meeting was attended by D. Davaanyam, Chairman of GASR; Sioue Chew Kuek, World Bank Project Team Leader and Senior Digital Specialist; as well as other relevant officials.
During the meeting, detailed information was provided on the activities implemented and currently underway in the state registration sector under the “Smart Government-1 and 2” projects, including the progress of digital transformation, updates to the information system, and measures being taken to improve the accessibility of public services. The progress of the projects’ implementation was also presented.
Both parties emphasized that this meeting is of significant importance for achieving tangible results in the implementation of the “Smart Government-2” project and for accelerating the reform of public digital services.
The “Smart Government-1” project was successfully implemented at the GASR from 2015 to 2020 with the aim of “optimally utilizing advancements in information and communication technology in government operations to make public services more efficient, transparent, and accessible.
