“One citizen - One registration” national program continues

The project TA9372-MON: “Improved Registry System to Strengthen the Delivery of Social Services” implemented by the General Authority for State Registration with the Asian Development Bank’s technical assistance has been successfully continuing since 2018.

The project is in line with the objectives of the "One Citizen-One Registration" national program outlined in the Government Action Plan for 2016-2020, and aims to enhance the quality and accessibility of Mongolia's civil registration services.

One of the main activities of this project is to connect remote soums and khoroos to the integrated state registration system. As of today, more than 280 units or soums are connected to the online network nationwide, whereas all soums of Bayan-Ulgii, Bulgan, Uvurkhangai, Sukhbaatar, Khentii and Uvs aimags are 100% connected and almost completed in Arkhangai, Govi-Altai, Bayankhongor and Selenge aimags, one soum is not connected due to the lack of optical fiber cable.

In 2020, the General Authority for State Registration is working with the Asian Development Bank project team to connect the rest of soums to the integrated state registration system.
